“Shaadi of the Dead” (Wedding of the Dead),is due for release next year and centres around a zombie invasion at a Punjabi marriage ceremony. The film stars Abhay Deol and up-and-coming female lead Genelia D’Souza. Director Navdeep Singh told AFP “It will be India’s first zombie film. It is something that has never been tried in the Hindi film industry and so we feel it will work.”

Over 1,000 “corpses” in tattered clothing staggered their way along paths of Dorney Amusement Park, Pennsylvania USA. The Zombies were en route to the Steel Force coaster for a three-minute ride that landed them in the Guinness World Record book. A second annual Zombie Invasion is set for 2012.

Run For Your Lives – 5km Zombie Infested Obstacle Course

A new kind of event – Run For Your Lives – is a 5km obstacle course, which involves escaping from #zombies. The event is set to take place in Baltimore USA on October 22, 2011 and with viral spread expected will include more locations in 2012. All runners will receive a medal to signify their survival (or zombie transformation). And awards will be given to each division including a special military division.
