Thousands of zombies lurched through the city of Brisbane, Australia in the annual Zombie Walk to raise money for the Brain Foundation. The walk was expected to raise more than $20,000 for the Brain Foundation.

More zombies will gather again on Sunday November 4th in Newcastle at the Town’s Museum at 2pm. The zombies will make their way to Tower Cinemas in King Street for Scream Screen, the annual zombie based film competition. Police in Washington U.S.A denied blood-splattered zombies access to White House without the proper permits. The Washington Post reports that the zombies were on mission, protesting that 14 million subscribers to the Dish network were unable to access the Walking Dead TV series season 3.

One of the police park officers tripped on a Bride Zombie’s train and the zombie were escorted off the property and and back to their shiny white bus. The zombies Dish Network’s 14?million satellite subscribers.

Winnipeg U.S.A. Thousands of the city’s undead gathered early Saturday evening for Winnipeg’s annual zombie walk and World Zombie Day. City police were on hand to ensure zombie walkers kept out of traffic. The walk comes a day before the premiere of The Walking Dead, season three, an important day on the zombie calendar and zombie fans. See the full story and pic’s on the Winnipeg Sun.

Portland, Maine U.S.A. Drivers were warned of possible Zombies as a sign at a road site construction site on Auburn Street was hacked to read “Warning Zombies Ahead!” The sign originally read “Night work 8 pm-6 am. Expect delays.” The Portland Press Herald reports that it’s all “fun and games until someone’s eye falls out.“

Comments highlighted by Portland Press warn of the “cry wolf” potential of such pranks; “This is serious. When the real zombie apocalypse happens, no one will take it seriously.” Government officials warned that altering signs can lead to jail time and/or fines.
