Hundreds of zombies descended on Boston for the 8th annual zombie parade.The shambling began at 3:30 p.m. on May 19 at South Station and continued through the afternoon, with an after-party for zombies and survivors 18 and up at the local sports bar.

We are what we eat is the debut film by 16 year old Londener Sam Toller. The media student says he was inspired by hordes of school children on Monday mornings. He wrote the short film script and story-boarded the shots which are available to view on the official site. Shooting took place over two days in the summer with professional actors and make up artists. Congratulations to Sam and his crew!

Over 10,000 people took part in the Run For Your Lives Zombie obstacle race. The 5K obstacle race featured man-made and natural obstacles along with throngs of zombies. Participants in the event were chased by zombies who were trying to “kill” them by stealing flags from their belts.

Participants tried to keep at least one health flag or found a health pack. One zombie was quoted “I was getting a little scared at one point. There’s very much a fight-or-flight response that kicks in people when they start going. Everyone is just out to survive, even if it means running you over. So I tried to bond with my fellow zombies and just get through that.”

Several 100 undead showed up for Prague’s fifth annual Zombie Walk in the Czech Republic.

Participants coated their bodies with fake blood made from a recipe of flour, lemon and salt while others sported false teeth or fake eyes and at least one woman stuck a needle through her tongue.

Organiser Jakub Krasny spoke to the IB Times
“This is the fifth Zombie Walk here, we started in 2008 …This is the oldest walk in the country … Last year we had 1,000 participants and will see if we succeed to break this number today.”

New York Bestseller List Dominated By The Walking Dead

The New York Times graphic novel bestseller list has been taken over by The Walking Dead holding 3 out of 4 spots for top selling graphic novel paperbacks. The graphic novels are a collection of the monthly comics series published by Skybound. The Walking Dead also debuted on Halloween night in 2010 as the Hollywood hit TV series.The series was developed by AMC and became their highest-rated cable drama in the 18-49 demographic and the highest-rated original show with the season premiere boasting 7.3 million viewers despite multiple networks passed on the series.

At number 1 on the paperback list The Walking Dead Compendium, is a collection 48 issues in a volume with 1088 pages of zombie fun.
